I don’t know if I’m depressed, or if I’m just living through too many depressing/ hard/ overwhelming things simultaneously. I don’t know how to know or if the potential difference even matters. To me or to anyone else.

Depending on where you live, you can see a General Practitioner and tell them how you're feeling. They will give you a DASS-21 form (or you can find it online and complete it yourself before going in). It stands for Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale. With this, they can help figure out what sort of resources you need from counselling in a group setting or one-on-one or meds. As someone living with depression, I feel your pain, and I wish you the finest doctor who listens to you!! (If they don't, then change doctors. As many times as you need till you find the right fit. It will be hard sometimes, but advocating for yourself and your mental health is so worth it!!)
