I’m currently dealing with the breakup from the love of my life. The breakup was terrible and it completely broke me. I went to a therapist, and she noticed that I wasn’t showing signs of grief, but of trauma. It turns out I have Complex PTSD from childhood abuse, and meeting my ex puts me into trauma loops. Because of that, I have to avoid him completely — but I can’t tell him, because it would hurt him. I also can’t tell anyone, not my family or my friends (who are also his friends), because it would hurt them too.
