Look around your area for a driving school with a good reputation. My son was scared of driving and took one of these classes and got over his fear of driving, and has even driven cross country. He did this when he was 18-19 years old, and is in his 40's now....and still driving. You'll know when its time, dont rush it.

Can you ride a bike? Then buy a small to midsized motorcycle. You really don't need a car.
