I had to use reverse psychology on my mom. She dated Clarence just a month and just used him, was never nice to him. I was there, I was 19 when he told her he’s not helping her with her rent any longer. She told him if he can’t help her financially he can just get on down the road, she didn’t need him. He stopped complaining around, she had another guy in a few days. I ran into Clarence two years later, he’s 15 years older than me. Clarence was and is a very charming hard working man. I married Clarence, mom spread the lies I was messing around with her boyfriend is why they broke up. I got so sick of her telling that lie I said in front of family members she wasn’t woman enough to keep Clarence and I took him away from her. She exploded, shouted out “I dumped his a##, I was done with his broke a##!” I laughed and said “so, there you go, you all finally heard the truth so now she can stop spreading lies!” Clarence and I have four sons now and we have a great marriage.
