I am 38 and single. Fell in love with my best friend from high school, we dated for 18 years. Unfortunately he was a Muslim, though from a well educated and rich family, none of our parents approved of our relationship. We waited a long time to convince them, could not. So we parted ways. While I moved away to another Country and decided to stay single, he got married 3 years ago due to family pressure. I wish the love of my life a happiest future. At 40 my plan is to completely get into spirituality, serve in an ashram and stay as a brahmachari for the rest of my life. I have had a beautiful life so far and will continue to have one!
Stop letting other people (and perhaps foolish books) control you life. Neither your family or his can tell you what to do...Fuck them all, do what makes you happy.
